This project consists of roadway removal and reconstruction improvements on Decatur Boulevard, from Tropicana Avenue to Sahara Avenue, and intersecting side streets. Such improvements include, reconstruction of the pavement with ADA ramp upgrades; installation of new loop detectors at signalized intersections; traffic signal improvements at the intersections with Harmon Ave, University Ave., Pennwood Ave., and Sahara Ave.; hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement providing three through lanes in each direction with center medians and continuous right turn lane; repair of damaged curb, gutter and sidewalk areas; landscape and aesthetics treatments for the enter running median islands; lighting modifications; utility modifications and relocations; traffic control intelligent transportation (ITS) devices; pavement markings; intersecting street improvements; concrete bus pads at transit stops, horizontal and vertical transitions; upgrade signage, and other necessary appurtenances.
