Upgrades, repairs and redevelopment of the University pavilion located on the downtown campus. The scope of the project includes renovation of the Leacock Building tower located on McTavish Street to enhance the research and learning capacity of faculty, staff and students of the faculty. This project involves the complete renovation of floors 3 to 9, including: stripping of all non-structural elements, with the exception of stairs and wells, removal of all existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and distributions and new installation, reconfiguration of washrooms, upgrades of audiovisual systems in classrooms, replacement of windows and repair of joints in exterior concrete panels, upgrades of lighting fixtures and electrical distribution in the halls of floors 1 and 2, minor modification of the ventilation distribution of the second floor, improvement of three elevators. The project value exceeds $25 million. TIMELINE: The owner has cancelled the Request for proposals C0003037 and will not proceed with the project implementation. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
