For the respective project as follows: REPLACEMENT OF COUNTY BRIDGE NO. 1400-369 ON CHERRY HILL ROAD (CR 654) OVER TRIBUTARY TO TROY BROOK IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PARSIPPANY-TROY HILL, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY BID# B22-204 Replacement of County Bridge No. 1400-369 on Cherry Hill Road (CR 654) over Tributary to Troy Brook in the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hill, Morris County, New Jersey consisting of, but not limited to, 1 LS- Traffic Control (7-Day Closure); 1 LS Traffic Control (Daily); 1 LS-Clearing Site Road & Bridge; 132 LF-72" RCP, Class III (DELIVERY & INSTALL ONLY); 90 CY-Excavation, Unclassified (Exist. Pavement); 1 LS-Temporary Cofferdam; 420 SF-Temporary Sheeting; 750 CY-I-9 Soil Aggregate; 325 SY-Dense Graded Aggregate Base Course, 4" & 6" Thick; 505 SY-HMA Milling, 3" or Less; 86 Ton-HMA Surface Course; 118 Ton-HMA Base Course; 350 LB-Reinforcement Steel Galvanized; 5 CY-Concrete Headwall; 1 Unit-Reconstruct Manhole Using Existing Casting; 145 LF-9"x16" and 9"x18" Concrete Vertical Curb; 150 LF-Beam Guide Rail; 2 Units-Flared Guide Rail Terminal; 270 SY Topsoil, Fertilize-Seed & Mulch; 1700 LF-Thermoplastic Traffic Stripes; 150 SF-Traffic Marking, Symbols; 70 LF-Traffic Marking Lines; 1 LS each-Temporary Underground Utility Supports for Utilities, Gas & Telephone Ducts. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the County of Morris and marked with the name and address of the Bidder and the Contract Title and Number. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) (not to exceed $20,000.00) of the total bid, payable to the County of Morris, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to the Bidder they will enter into a contract and provide the necessary bonds, and insurance as required by the County and the Division of Risk Management. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as specified in the Contract Documents. EACH BID MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A CONSENT OF SURETY which states that the surety company will provide the Bidder with the performance bond specified in the Contract Documents in the event the Bidder is awarded the Contract. Bids are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.2, et seq., and as such, contractors are exempt from the limitations on making political contributions under that law. Further, for that reason, as well as because of a language in the New Jersey's Annual Appropriations Act, refusal to disclose campaign contributions otherwise required by N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.2 et seq. and 19:44A-20.25 et seq., will not adversely affect your consideration for award. The vendor shall maintain all documentation related to products, transactions or services under this contract for a period of five years from the date of final payment. Such records shall be made available to the New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller upon request. Accordingly, we ask that Bidders/Respondents may wish to consider not attending the Bid Openings in person. We do note that if Bidders/Respondents choose to attend, they are required to be screened by Courthouse security. If they show any signs of illness, they will not be permitted access to the building. Due to the circumstances, during the bid opening process, a bid review and providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted online once available. Bidders/Respondents are encouraged to MAIL in bids and responses. If they must be hand delivered, the County of Morris has a drop box located outside of the Purchasing Office, 5th floor of the Administration and Records Building, 10 Court Street, Morristown, New Jersey. Award of contract by the Board of County Commissioners will be made within 60 days.
