Roof Replacement at North Brunswick Township High School. - The Project consists of Roof Replacement Work at Linwood School School located in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey, as well as related construction items in conjunction with the completion of the project as required by the Contract Documents for the North Brunswick Township School District Board of Education. The project is single-prime, lump sum, all trades, all inclusive. Time is of the essence. The Scope of Work also includes, but is not limited to the complete removal of existing roofing systems, related flashings and accessories at the school, thus exposing the existing substrates. The Work includes patching or repairing any existing substrates found to be damaged and/or deteriorated, as well as any and all preparation work required to satisfy the conditions required by the specified manufacturers prior to commencing installation of all final work. Additionally, the Work includes the removal and reinstallation of existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing components and equipment necessary to complete the project as intended within the Contract Documents. The Work also includes removal and reinstallation of existing gas piping that is to be raised up off the roofing surface to a new height elevation to allow for ease of construction/roof replacement. The Work also includes the removal and reinstallation of existing electrical conduit piping that is to be raised up off the roofing surface to a new height elevation to allow for ease of construction/roof replacement. Coordinated shut-downs of these systems will be required for the Project and must be included in the construction schedule Bidders should call 24 hours in advance to ensure Bid Documents will be available. 4. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a Bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) as of the date and time of the bid opening in one of the disciplines listed above. Bids must be submitted on the provided proposal forms and be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check or a bid bond drawn to the order of the "North Brunswick Township Board of Education" for not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-24. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the Contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements of employment to be observed and Prevailing Wage Rates to be paid under the Contracts pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.
