Site work for a mixed-use development in Lewisville, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

As of April 3, 2023, this project has been awarded, however, information regarding the awarded contractor and a timeline for construction have not been confirmed at this time. Construct the Glory Park (Parque La Gloria) improvements at 301 E. Southwest Parkway Lewisville, Texas to meet the City of Lewisville requirements. The project site is approximately 2.3 acres, and the scope of the project site with improvements consists of site grading, establishing electrical service for park illumination, extending City water service for installation of permanent landscape irrigation and a drinking fountain, protecting existing trees and installing new landscape material consisting of trees, shrubs, groundcover, and sod, installing park site amenities, signage, hardscape elements and shade structures. All work shall comply with the current Building Codes of the City of Lewisville, Park and Trail Wayfinding Signage & Landscape Standards, other relevant City Standards and Specifications, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Recreation Grants requirements and Texas Accessibility Standards. In addition to these scope items, there are other miscellaneous construction items defined in the plans and specifications. The Playground Zone, outlined on the plans, will be installed under a separate contract between the City of Lewisville and Gametime. The selected contractor will be responsible for fine grading within the Playground Zone and shall coordinate the construction schedule with Gametime to accommodate installation of the playground scope of work. The light fixtures listed on the illumination schedule and all picnic tables will be purchased by the City under a separate contract and provided to the contractor for installation under this scope of work. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the City of Lewisville for delivery, final placement, and installation of these elements. BID BOND REQUIREMENTS Bidders are required to submit a cashier's or certified check issued by a bank satisfactory to the City of Lewisville, or a Bid Bond (with proper Power of Attorney) from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, payable without recourse to the City of Lewisville, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base bid submitted to insure that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and execute all necessary bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of the contract to him. This bid security must be uploaded to Bonfire or included in the bid envelope along with the bid sheet for the bidder to be considered responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the following bonds from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas. These bonds, along with proper insurance papers, will be incorporated as part of the final contract documents and will remain in effect until the completion and acceptance of the project. Maintenance bonds shall be in effect based on their stated term after final acceptance of the project: A bid bond equal to 5% of the project amount is to be included with the sealed bid; a payment bond and performance bond at the project amount and a maintenance bond for two years from the date of the final acceptance. All bidders are notified that the qualification statement provided in the bid documents must be completed and submitted with the bid proposal. Failure to include this completed form with your bid may cause your bid to be disqualified as non-responsive. All questions are to be posted on Bonfire. The City is not responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of the bid from any vendor. Also, should a vendor bid an alternate; any test costs to prove equality of product will be at the expense of the vendor, not the City of Lewisville. Each bidder is expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform himself regarding all local conditions. Ignorance of existing conditions of the site will not be a basis for any changes after the award of the bid. Bids cannot be altered or amended after the submission deadline. Any interlineation, alteration, or erasure made before opening time must be initialed by the signee of the bid, guaranteeing authenticity. In conformance with applicable statutes utilizing Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates as adopted by the General Services Commission, the general prevailing wage rates in the locality in which the work is to be performed have been ascertained and such rate shall be the minimum paid for labor employed on this project; unless federal monies are used, in which case, specific wage decisions will be listed as part of the overall bid documents. The City of Lewisville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part; to waive any informality in any bid. Award will be issued on the basis of lowest responsible bidder.
