For the Library Building Roof Repair and Renovations, for furnishing all materials labor, tools, and equipment, and for doing the work of constructing, according to Contract Documents on file in the office of said City of Adamsville, Alabama, No bids will be received after deadline. Approximate items of work are as follows: Base Bid: Install 16 gauge hat sections over existing glass and metal panels; Install new 24 gauge standing seam roof panel with all necessary flashing to tie into new TPO roofing; Install 26 gauge cap flashing on gables; Prep existing flat roof and install 2" iso board; Install thermoplastic polyolefin(TPO) and seal as needed; Paint both rooms and ceilings; Alternate No 1: REMOVE TELLER WINDOW/ SIDELIGHTS: Demo teller window Cut brick and framing to accommodate new double door; Install new brick lintel and interlock Brick for finished opening; Frame wall to accommodate double door Interior and exterior; Install new storefront double door; Brick and trim exterior as needed; Install drywall and trim as needed Interior; Remove drive thru bank light and mortar patch; Touch up paint in affected area Work Areas. Bidders must be able to provide a current Certificate of General Liability insurance, vehicle insurance, and workman's compensation insurance. Bidder is responsible for all license and qualifications as required for building permit in Adamsville, Alabama. Adamsville Building Permit Fees will be waived. The lowest bidder will be determined by total Cost for Labor and Materials. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid advantageous to the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the bids. All General Contractors and Sub-Contractors performing work on this project will hold a City of Adamsville Business License as required by law. The attention of all bidders is called to the provisions of State Law Governing General Contractors, as set forth in Chapter 4 (Section 65 to 82, inclusive) of Title 46 of the Code of Alabama for 1940, as amended; and bidders shall be governed by said law insofar as it is applicable. The above mentioned provisions of the Code make it illegal for the Owner to consider a bid from anyone who is not properly licensed under such code provisions. The Owner, therefore will not consider any bid unless the bidder produces evidence that he is so licensed. Neither will the Owner enter into a Contract with a foreign corporation, which is not qualified under State Law to do business in the State of Alabama.
