Proposed plans to reconstruct the I-794 Lake Interchange corridor in downtown Milwaukee. As of June 3, 2026, this project is in planning phase. An Alternative Development and Analysis is in progress. The department is currently deciding between leaving the freeway, replacing portions of it, removing it, or improving it. A decision should be made in 2027. Construction would potentially start in 2030.
