Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Frederick, Maryland. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a 84,553-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

As of July 2025, this project is underway. Replacement building with pedestrian, school bus, service vehicle and parent drop-off will be constructed at the Sanner Farm Property, located near Christopher Crossing, Walter Martz Road, and Spring Run Drive This project is currently out for subcontractor bids for the following trades: 03A - Cast-in-Place Concrete 04A - Masonry & Cast Stone 05A - Structural Steel & Misc. Metals 06A - General Trades 07C - Roofing and Paneling 08C - Glazed Aluminum Storefronts and Windows 08D - Structured Polycarbonate Panel Assemblies 09A - Tile and Flooring 09C - Drywall, ACT, Acoustic Wall Panels & Rough Carpentry 09D - Resinous Matrix Terrazzo Flooring 09E - Resinous Flooring 09F - Int & Ext. Painting & Wall Covering 11A - Food Service Equipment 11F - Gymnasium Equipment 14A - Elevator 21A - Fire Suppression 22A - HVAC / Plumbing 26A - Electrical and Low Voltage 31A - Site Prep & Earthwork 32A - Site Concrete 32B - Asphalt & Pavement Markings 32C - Fences & Gates 32D - Landscaping & Site Furnishings 32E - Modular Playground Equipment 33A - Site Utilities the deadline for pre-bid RFI's will be 3:00pm on April 2, 2025. Please submit to the email dean.whitehead@mcnbuild.com. Scope review meetings will be held immediately following the bid due date. Please plan to be available for a scope review meeting at the MCN Build Baltimore Office. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this Notice to Contractors. The bidder or offeror acknowledges the requirements of the MBE participation goals and will submit their completed forms accordingly. Proposals that do not acknowledge the MBE goals along with the required documentation for the project may not be considered responsible. All prime trade contractors, including certified MBE firms, when submitting bids or proposals as prime trade contractors, are required to attempt to achieve the set goal from certified MBE firms. Bidder shall submit within 24 hours of the bid due date and time the MBE Attachment D-1A: MBE Utilization and Fair Solicitation Affidavit & MBE Participation Schedule contained in Section 00 4539 - MBE. Failure to submit these forms could result in the bid being determined as non-responsive. The apparent low bidder shall be requested to submit all other minority business enterprise material and supporting data within ten (10) working days after notification that the firm is the apparent low bidder. Bidder shall complete the prequalification program prior to bid. Links provided in Section 0021 13. Failure to submit this form could result in the bid being determined as non- responsive. Instructions pertaining to the bid bond, performance, and materials payment bond requirements are set forth in Section 00 21 13, "Instructions to Bidders," and compliance with same shall be the responsibility of the Contractor submitting the bid. The conditions contained in this Notice to Contractors, by their issuance, become a part of the Contract requirements. The Owner/Construction Manager reserves the right to accept any of the bids for Alternate work submitted, and may accept Alternates in any order or combination, unless specifically provided in the Contract Documents. The Owner/Construction Manager reserves the right to waive any informalities or immaterial deviations in the bids, or to reject any or all bids.
