This section summarizes the Work of the Project as covered in detail in the complete Contract Documents. This is a general summary and is not intended to be complete and all inclusive of the required Work items. The project scope includes construction of new storm drainage facilities to improve flooding nuisance. In addition, it includes pavement restoration and pavement markings, regrading and sodding of swales as necessary, sidewalk replacement, new ADA ramps as required, removal and replacement of vegetation, waterline relocation, and other miscellaneous improvements. The City reserves the right to occupy and to place and install equipment in areas of the Project, prior to Substantial Completion provided that such occupancy does not interfere with completion of the Work. Such placing of equipment and partial occupancy shall not constitute acceptance of the Work. The CONTRACTOR will coordinate its work with utility companies, landowners and City activities, with specific attention to access and staging areas. Construction sequence shall be determined by Contractor subject to the following needs for continuous access and operation by others. The contractor shall protect the work areas and close lanes as necessary providing proper signage and protections, while other parts of the roadways are being used. Contractor shall coordinate access to neighbors to their driveways. Contractor may suggest modificationsto the sequence provided the access and operation requirements are satisfied and compliance with the overall contract period is achieved. Schedule the Work to conform to the following events and dates, and to provide for coordination with the work performed by others. No events are scheduled.
