The Project, consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing of all labor, materials equipment, tools and services for a collection of various Water Main Rehabilitation Projects, Water Meter Replacements and Emergency Utility Repairs throughout the City of Rockville and other associated work. Question Deadline 12/08/2022 at 2:00 PM ET PROJECT DESCRIPTION IFB 01-22 WATER MAIN REHABILITATION PROGRAM, WATER METER REPLACEMENT AND EMERGENCY UTILITY REPAIRS (The Project), consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing of all labor, materials equipment, tools and servicesfor a collection of various Water Main Rehabilitation Projects, Water Meter Replacements and Emergency Utility Repairs throughout the City of Rockville and other associated work as follows: o Remove and dispose of existing water lines and connections; including existing water mains, water house connections and appurtenances, such as valves, blocking, fittings, etc; o Install and maintain temporary by-pass water service system; o Install new ductile iron water mains (various diameters) and appurtenances, such as valves, fire hydrants, fittings, etc., including work on Pre-stressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP); o Install concrete valve and meter vaults; o Install new water service connections; o Install single wrap polyethylene encasement on all DIP piping, fittings and appurtenances; o Install new main line connections and appurtenances; o Provide all testing (pressure, leakage, chlorine, bacteria, etc.) on new water mains; o Install and maintain appropriate sediment controls and safety measures; o Provide traffic control throughout the construction period; o Repair City of Rockville right of way (pavement, aprons, curb and gutter, sidewalks, lawns, etc.); o Emergency water and sewer utility work; o Replace water meters throughout the City to aid in Rockville's transition to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI); o Replace service lines, meter crocks and vaults as needed during the meter replacement
