Consent of Surety: A Consent of Surety letter from a responsible Bonding Company must be included in the Bid as required by the Contract Documents. Bid Submission Procedures: Bid must be made on the standard Bid Form in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the project and address of the Bidder on the outside. The Bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to the prescribed Bid Opening time. Statutory Requirements: Bidders are required to comply with all statutory requirements including the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 127 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1999, C. 238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages), P.L. 2004, C. 57 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements), and P.L. 1987, C. 48 (Submission of the Names and Addresses of Certain Subcontractors (NJSA 40A:11-16)). During the performance of this contract, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 ET SEQ and N.J.A.C. 17:27 - (Affirmative Action); all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended; the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)(29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety; P.L. 1977, C. 33, Disclosure of Interests; and the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, all as amended and supplemented, Proof of Business Registration, N.J.S.A.52:32-44, Non-collusion anti-kickback requirements. This project is funded in whole or in part with funds provided by the New Jersey Department of Transportation under the Transportation Trust Fund. Awards shall be made subject to approval of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Rejection of Bids: Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designed in the Contract Documents. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the Specifications and shown on the Plans of the construction of FY2021 Jane Street Improvements located in the Borough of Pemberton, Burlington County, New Jersey, including but not limited to pavement milling (3" or less), surface course (9.5M64), HMA pavement repair, tree removal, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk and curb, traffic striping, and restoration activities. All work shall be completed in accordance with the NJDOT's Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, as amended.
