Service is contingent upon weather related events and will be decided on a case-by-case basis. The Contractor shall provide skilled, experienced, prompt service to remove snow during the winter season for the Riverhead Central School District on an "on call stand by basis" or as required. The district prefers responses from companies with a minimum of five (5) years of continuous experience for snow removal for a School District. The District shall have the right to reject bids of any bidder who is unable to provide satisfactory evidence, upon request, as to the above qualifications.The District retains the right to request any additional information pertaining to the Contractor's ability, qualifications, and procedures used to accomplish all work under this contract, as it deems necessary to ensure safe and satisfactory work. Any failure of a successful bidder to comply with these conditions may be cause for terminating any resulting contract immediately upon notice by the District. The District reserves the right to obtain these services from other sources, when necessary, should the successful bidder be unable to perform on a timely basis, and such delay may cause harm to the District.Regardless of the passage of title, the risk of loss to any of the work and to any goods, materials, equipment and furnishings, provided or to be provided under this contract shall remain with the Contractor until Substantial Completion. Should any of the work, and such goods, materials, equipment and furnishings, be destroyed, mutilated, defaced or otherwise damaged prior to the time of risk of loss has shifted to the District the Contractor shall repair or replace the same.
