Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Marietta, Georgia. Working plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Georgia DOT intends to solicit responses to design, construct, and finance the project under a Design-Build-Finance agreement. The proposed project will include the reconfiguration of the I-285 at I-20 West Interchange and improvements along I-20. On I-20, the Project will begin at the Factory Shoals Road overpass, just east of the Thornton Road Interchange, and will end at the I-285/I-20 Interchange at Hamilton E. Holmes Drive. The Project also includes lane modifications on I-285 from Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, located south of the I-285/I-20 Interchange, north to Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, the addition of a westbound collector-distributor lane on I-20 from the I-285/I-20 Interchange to Fulton Industrial Blvd., auxiliary lanes on I-20 and bridge replacements and widenings along I-20 and within the interchange. The Project shall not preclude the design and construction of the future I-20 West Express Lanes and the future I-285 Westside Express Lanes projects. Shortlist Confirmed.
