Construction of Bird (Beacon) Hall Canopy at Brightpoint Community College, Chester Campus, Project located in Chester, Virginia. The project is generally described as the addition of a steel canopy and trellis at the main entrance to Bird (Beacon) Hall. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of bid amount. The proposed project consists of the addition of a steel canopy and trellis at the main entrance to Bird Hall. Located on the College's Chester Campus, Bird Hall is a 34,744 s.f. science and academics building, built in 1967, with multiple renovations, the most recent and comprehensive of which was completed in 2019. The scope of the project includes concrete foundations, steel structure, roofing, exterior lighting and modifications to electrical systems including lightning protection, and landscaping. Substantial Completion of the entire project shall be 84 consecutive calendar days , Final Completion shall be achieved within 30 consecutive calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion
