Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Scope of Work Summary. Generally, the Project base bid consists of furnishing and installing drainage pipe and structures with incidental related work on McWeeney Drive with the City reserving the right to award any or all of the other Alternates listed,i.e. South Leonard Street, Alder Street, St. Jean Street and Woodruff Street at Adelaide Avenue in the City of Waterbury. Alder Street has a minor sidewalk replacement. All trench repairs in the roadways are to be local street standards. The City reserves the right to award any or all of the Alternates with the base bid. Connecticut Prevailing Wages, Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) requirements apply and a contract with the City of Waterbury is required. It should be noted that both Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) or High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE) are acceptable, as long as they are installed in accordance with manufacturers directions and industry standards as approved by City. Bidder should indicate on bid sheet if one or the other is being proposed. It is the intent of the City that the Successful Proposer shall complete all work and services required by this RFP by June 30, 2023. Any award of work resulting from this RFP will be managed by the Engineering Department of the City of Waterbury. A copy of the RFP and all associated documents, including any addenda issued (the RFP Documents) will also be available for review at the Office of the Director of Purchasing. Before submitting a Proposal, each Proposer must (a) examine the RFP Documents thoroughly, (b) familiarize itself with all Federal, State and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations that may in any manner affect cost, progress or performance of the Work; and (c) study and carefully correlate the Proposers observations and findings with the requirements of the RFP Documents. The submission of a Proposal will constitute an incontrovertible representation by the Proposer that it has complied with every requirement of this Section and that the RFP Documents are sufficient in scope and detail to indicate and convey all terms and conditions necessary for the Proposers proposed performance of the Work. All questions and communications about this RFP, including submission and/or procedural requirements, must be directed to the Citys electronically and must be received on Friday, November 11, 2022. Responses to questions submitted by the above date, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the Citys electronically by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. It shall be the responsibility of the proposer to download this information. Prohibited Communications. Attempts to ask questions by phone or in person will not be allowed or recognized as valid. Failure to observe this restriction may disqualify the Proposer. Proposer shall rely only on information and documentation obtained via the Citys electronically. Each Proposal shall be submitted as directed herein. At the Citys discretion, failure to do so could result in disqualification. The responsibility for submitting a Proposal to the Director of Purchasing on or before the above-stated time and date will be solely and strictly the responsibility of the Proposer. The City will in no way be responsible for delays caused by the United States mail delivery or caused by any other occurrence. Proposers shall make the requisite copies of all required forms. Proposals must set forth accurate and complete information in connection with each of the items/documents listed below, and must be bound or stapled. All forms shall be fully completed and properly executed, and completed in ink or typed written, with all requested contact information (name, address, etc.) provided. All required signatures and notarizations shall also be provided.
