The Navajo Nation Zoo, a Program of the Department of Fish and Wildlife is releasing an RFP - Invitation For Bids for vendor to provide regular shipments of pool-style filters that fit the Pentair, Clean & Clear 75 Filter Housing. This filter unit provides water filtration on the Zoo's 400 gallon fish aquariums, and has 4 ounce media. Filters are replaced several times per month, as needed. There is allowable substitution in product brand, but the filters must be sized to fit the Predator 75, Pentair, Clean & Clear 75, and Cal Spas. Filters must also be of sufficient quality (bonded filter media of at least 4 ounces) to provide several weeks of biomass filtration, and for effective filtration across 100% of the filter's surface. Bidders shall provide the Navajo Zoo with at least 10 filters per quarter, or more as needed. Product must be delivered to the Navajo Zoo, or product must be made available for pick up within reasonable driving distance to Window Rock, AZ. Bidder must be able to accept Navajo Nation Purchase Order for payment. A selection will be made by November 30, 2022. The selected vendor will be notified by Navajo Nation Zoo, David Mikesic, by December 1, 2022, on Invitation for BID.
