Request of Qualifications to serve as Construction Manager at Risk for City of Grandview Bond funded building renovations and expansions. Benson Method "Benson" has been retained on behalf of the City of Grandview "City" or "Owner" to solicit a Request for Qualifications for a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the renovation of multiple existing buildings owned by the City of Grandview (See Exhibit A). The purpose is to upgrade current facilities located at the City Hall/Police Station and relocate the DMV offices to an adjacent city-owned building to create more space for city offices within city hall. This will also include expansions to Fire Stations 2 & 3. The City seeks to select the most qualified CMAR for this project in a two-step process. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to invite interested parties to submit and substantiate their qualifications in connection with the construction of this project. The second step will be a short-list with a request for a conceptual estimate based on documents that have been completed by the in-house architect. Respondents selected for the shortlist will be invited to interview with the designated selection committee. Additional information may be requested from shortlisted teams to be provided at the interview. The interview format will be outlined further once respondents have been short-listed. These projects are a result of a successful city bond package passed in April 2022 to fund interior improvements at City Hall and the Police Station as well as renovating the adjacent city-owned property at 1102 Main Street for the MO Department of Revenue office currently located within city hall. In addition, funds are allocated funds to renovate and expand 2 existing Fire Stations. The bond also included the construction of roof structures for public works and farmers market at the City Amphitheatre which are not part of this request. The goal of these projects is to update interiors, expand city offices, create better flow, and upgrade the police station and create a more functional space for the Department of Motor Vehicles. For the purpose of this proposal, the City is requesting architectural engineering services for the following scopes; City Hall - Upper-Level Administrative offices & Council Chambers Police Station - Lower-Level of City Hall - Police Offices and Records 1102 Main - Upper-Level DMV offices & Lower-Level City Hall Records Fire Stations 2 & 3 - Expansion of Dayroom, Bunk rooms & Vehicle Bay Final Date for Questions Wednesday, November 16, 2022 To ensure open and fair competition for all potential respondents, ALL questions and contact concerning this RFQ shall be in writing only and directed to the Owner's Representative Michelle Kaiser, at mkaiser@bensonmethod.com.
