The project is expected to be awarded on January 9, 2022.** Incorporated in 1911, Daly City is the largest of 20 cities in San Mateo County, with a population of 106,094. Located on the southern border of San Francisco, the Gateway to the Peninsula covers approximately 7.66 square miles; and is one of the most populationdense cities in California. The City operates under the Council-Manager form of government and is a General Law City under California statues. The City of Daly City is a full service city, providing police, fire, streets and roadways, library, recreation, planning and zoning, and general administrative services to one of the most ethnically diverse population in the nation. The City also operates a water utility and sanitation district. Applicants are fully and exclusively responsible for submission of their Bid on or before the deadline time and date specified. Bids submitted after the deadline will be rejected and returned to the applicant. If the City elects to award a contract, as a result, of this RFB, it is anticipated that the contract award will be made at a meeting of the City Council on Monday, July 25, 2022. This date may be adjusted by the City as needed in its discretion. Bids must fully comply with the requirements detailed in this RFB. Required supporting documentation must be included as Appendixes and must be appropriately identified. Incomplete Bids, Bids containing errors or inconsistencies, failure to submit the proper quantity of copies, or other process or content errors or deficiencies may result in your Bid being rejected and returned to the applicant. All inquiries regarding this RFB must be directed to Kevin Fehr, City Engineer via email. Contractors are prohibited from contacting Daly City staff or elected officials regarding this RFB; except, as specifically set forth in this Request for Bids.
