**As of December 9, 2022. Project receives no bids. No definite timeline for the rebid. The Regional School District #16 is seeking competitive bids from qualified firms to provide necessary trade services for the Woodland Capital Improvement Project #WRHSGYM-2. Woodland High School Gymnasium Floor Replacement at 135 Back Rimmon Rd, Beacon Falls, Connecticut 06403. It is the responsibility of the vendor to check for any issued addenda prior to any submission of bid for this RFP. Failure to address any addenda relating to the bid of interest may disqualify submitted and/or proposals. It is the sole responsibility of the responder to see that the proposal is in the hands of the proper authority prior to the opening. The Regional School District #16 reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids, or proposals. To waive any technicality in a bid or part thereof submitted, and to accept the bid or proposal deemed to be in the best interest of Regional School District #16. General: The work covered by the plans and specifications consists of furnishing all labor, material, supplies, equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to replace the gym flooring at Woodland Regional High School located at 135 Back Rimmon Rd. Beacon Falls, CT. 06403. All bids shall contain the cost of all items and work, whether specified herein or not, required to provide a complete project. Failure to include such items and work specifically in the bid documents shall not be grounds for extra cost. All materials and equipment supplied by the Contractor shall conform to the requirements of the plans and specifications. No changes shall be allowed unless they are approved, in writing, by the Regional School District #16. All work shall be in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and guidelines. Hours of Work: The Contractor may perform work on the project during the following work hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 10:00pm There is no work permitted on Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays except if permitted by Regional School District #16. Requests for weekend or holiday work must be received no later than the end of the workday on Thursday preceding the weekend in question, or at least 1 full business day before a holiday. The Contactor and work crew will be required to sign in/out of the worksite with a member of the Regional School District #16 custodial staff to allow the site to be secured. The scope of work for this project shall include, but not be limited to, all labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals, and related work necessary to replace the gym flooring. The work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Removal and reinstallation of existing wooden bleachers in working condition. Removal and disposal of existing wood gym floor down to concrete subfloor. Conduct moisture testing of existing concrete subfloor and provide the Regional School District #16 with testing results. Prepare concrete subfloor to manufacturer's specification and provide an approved six (6) mil vapor/moisture barrier. If the manufacturer requires an alternate vapor/moisture barrier, the manufacturer's standards will be adhered to. Furnish and install new hardwood sports flooring system including proper wall base following MFMA PUR Standards. Approved hardwood sports flooring shall be: o Robbins floor system - Bio Cushion Classic o Action floor system - Pro Action Thrust o Aacer floor system - Aacer Flex o Comparable as approved by the Regional School District #16 Furnish and install proper floor color layout, game line paint, and logo from provided layout from Regional School District #16. The colors will be chosen by Regional School District #16. All manufacturer's plans, material specifications, installation instructions, maintenance and cleaning instructions will be submitted to Regional School District #16 for review and approval. Furnish and install manufacturer's recommended hardwood sports floor coating to include proper number of coats, proper dry times in between coats, and correct finish on final coat. Clean work area and remove all debris, materials, tools, and equipment from site at project completion. The contract period shall be for two hundred and fifty (250) calendar days from the date of award. The work start date will be on or around May 15, 2023. All work must be completed by August 20, 2023 to allow for fall sports activities. Any contract extension will be based on the recommendations of the Administration and shall be contingent upon the approval of the BOE. Payments: Payments will be made after services are performed. Contractors shall send itemized invoices, no later than two weeks after services have been rendered. The invoices should be sent to the attention of the Director of Facilities, Regional School District #16 30 Coer Road Prospect, Ct. 06712. Basis of Award: An award will be made to the lowest, responsible, qualified bidder. Based on our available budget, the Regional School District #16 reserves the right to award all or portions of this contract. Laws: The contractor shall comply with all applicable laws of the Federal, state, and local government. Damage to Regional School District #16 and/or Personal Property: The contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement costs of any damage caused by the use, misuse, or negligence of the contractor or their employees. The contractor is responsible for reporting any damage to property within 24 hours of the occurrence to the Director of Facilities.
