Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Kingsville, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
This is a Design-Build Project Building 5738 (B5738) is a multi-use gym serving NAS Kingsville. B5738 includes office spaces, weight room, aerobics rooms, indoor basketball court, racquetball courts, locker rooms and outdoor pool. The primary cooling system for B5738 is a chilled water system with two central station air handling units (AHU), one Outside Air Unit (OUA), one water cooled chiller (CH) and one 2-section cooling tower. The cooling tower is located on the west side of the building in mechanical yard. The condenser water (chiller to water tower) is also used to heat the pool water and domestic water in the building. The existing chiller is 20+ years old and no longer functions. This project is to replace the existing water cooled chiller and cooling tower with two new air cooled chillers. Heating for the pool water and domestic water will be modified to rely solely on other heating sources. The existing cooling tower is in a mechanical yard with stone ground work and chain link fencing. This is not expected to be big enough for two new air cooled chillers. Provide a new mechanical yard opposite the existing pedestrian walkway for the new air cooled chillers.But not limited to, please review the SOW for more details Magnitude of Construction: $1M - $5M Prevailing Wages apply.
