The purpose of this RFP is to establish a contract for custodial cleaning services in accordance with the following projects and locations: City Hall, 101 North Court Street Municipal Office Annex, 140 West Patrick Street Marc Train Station, 100 South East Street Department of Public Works, 111 Airport Drive East Waste Water Treatment Area, 100 Treatment Plant Road Water Quality Area, 100 Treatment Plant Road Water & Sewer Facilities Area, 100 Treatment Plant Road The awarded Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, supplies (not expressly provided by the City), and equipment to perform said services outlined in the scope of work. The primary objective in maintaining clean conditions is to provide a safe, healthy, and pleasant work environment. This environment must be maintained throughout the building and immediate grounds, in all variations of weather and occupancy. These specifications should be referred to as a guide for the services required to effectively maintain the building. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, inspecting, surface cleaning, deep cleaning, and reporting. Items such as restrooms, sinks, carpet, windows, vents, and doors, furniture, and fixtures must be properly and thoroughly cleaned. This contract shall be for one year, or part thereof, commencing upon Notice to Proceed and running through June 30, 2023. Providing the successful proposer will agree to maintain the same pricing (with allowance for CPI adjustment*), terms and conditions of the current contract, this contract could be extended for three (3) additional one-year periods, on a year-to-year basis, if mutually agreed upon. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to waive minor irregularities in said proposals, or to negotiate minor deviations with the successful firm(s). In the case of differences between written words and figures in a proposal, the amount stated in written words shall govern. In the case of a difference in unit price versus the extended figure, the unit price shall govern. The City further reserves the right to seek new proposals when it is reasonably in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to further negotiate with a single or limited group of Proposers. Nothing in this RFP or accompanying documents submitted will create any contractual relationship between the City and respondents.
