Job No. V-91-005-23, FAI 55 I-55 (Stevenson Expressway) at Illinois Route 50 (Cicero Avenue) and at BRC Railroad, Phase II Engineering Services, Cook County, Region One/District One. This project requires 23% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035 The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on February 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for improvements to Illinois Route 50 (Cicero Avenue) at I-55 (Stevenson Expressway). The Consultant's work is expected to consist of preparing plans, specifications, and estimates to current standards for the geometric and traffic signal improvements to Cicero Avenue at the interchange with I-55, including the TSL and structure plans for the replacement of the I-55 bridges over Cicero Avenue and the I-55 bridges over the Belt Railway Company of Chicago (BRC). The proposed improvement also consists of pavement widening, interchange ramp improvements, updated medians, roadway resurfacing, drainage improvements, lighting, modernization, and replacement of traffic signals, retaining walls, and shared use paths on both sides of Cicero Avenue. The work may also include topographic survey, geotechnical services, and all other incidental work required to complete Phase II contract plans. The Consultant will also review and prepare plans to ensure that all plans are within the framework of the department's policies and procedures and local agency's requirements, and all applicable manuals and schedules. The following structures are included in this project:
o S.N. 016-0016: Eastbound I-55 over Cicero Avenue
o S.N. 016-0017: Westbound I-55 over Cicero Avenue
o S.N. 016-0018: Eastbound I-55 over the BRC Railroad
o S.N. 016-0019: Westbound I-55 over the BRC Railroad
o S.N. 016-0412: BNSF Railroad over Cicero Avenue
o S.N. 016-0413: CN Railroad over Cicero Avenue The current estimated construction cost for this project is $48,200,000. The completion date for this contract will be 24 months after authorization to proceed. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project:
