Renovation of a museum in Dekalb, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

As of March 29, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 25 Board meeting. Project will generally consist of refurbishing of two (2) steel double doors with transoms and four (4) steel window pairs with transoms; the refurbishing of twenty-two (22) wood windows (three (3) with transoms) and eleven (11) wood storm windows; the installation of new storm units at two (2) double doors and nineteen (19) windows in the historic Ellwood Mansion at the Ellwood House Museum. A bid will be approved, provided all necessary requirements have been met, at a regularly scheduled Dekalb Park District Board of Commissioner's meeting The Dekalb Park District reserves the unrestricted right to reject any or all bids received, to waive or not to waive any informality, or to accept the proposal considered to be in the best interest of the Park District. Project Description: Project generally consists of refurbishing of two (2) steel double doors with transoms and four (4) steel window pairs with transoms; the refurbishing of twenty-two (22) wood windows (three (3) with transoms) and eleven (11) wood storm windows; the installation of new storm units at two (2) double doors and nineteen (19) windows with the following components. 1. Steel: Repair of two (2) double door units with transoms and four (4) steel window pairs with transoms; installation of new interior storm-window panels per A4.0 and A4.1 2. Wood: Installation of new wood interior storm-door panels and new exterior storm-window panels per A4.0 and A4.1; Touch-Up and/or Repair of twenty-two (22) wood windows (three (3) with transoms) and eleven (11) exterior wood storm window panels; installation UVfilm per A4.0 and A4.1 a. Rotunda Units 1) Cleaning of leaded-art glass and laylights at units: a) W2.3 b) W2.4 c) W2.5 d) W3.2B e) W3.3B f) W3.4B 2) New attic side storms at laylight units, three (3) total; installation only b. Storm-window work varies per unit, refer to A4.1 for details. c. Owner Supplied Items: 1) Storm doors 2) Storm panels (at windows) 3) UV-film G.
