As of November 5, 2025, this project has been completed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The submittals received will be reviewed for the design of a major reconstruction project of Monrovia Street from 55th Street to Johnson Drive. Consultants will be notified via e-Builder as soon as the proposals have been reviewed and the selection process is complete. The Contract shall be awarded by the Owner at the sole and complete discretion of the Shawnee Governing Body. Engineering Consulting Firms must have an office within the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and be familiar with the City of Shawnee. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposal submittals and to waive informalities or irregularities of the submittals. The project provides for reconstructing Monrovia Street and includes removal of existing pavement, grading, new full depth asphalt, curb inlets, curb, sidewalk, ADA ramps, driveways, street lights, pavement markings, signing, and other related improvements. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *This project has been updated to Award status based on historical confirmations and outreach.
