The site is currently unoccupied but was used as City offices and until the recent completion of a new city hall to the west of the site. Residents of Provo voted for a bond measure that has provided the funding necessary to construct the new city hall and public safety facilities. Currently Provo City's Fire Station 1 is located on the redevelopment property, and the City intends to replace the fire station in its current location.
