Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology (the "Institution") is accepting proposals for renovations to existing staircases in the Gordon Willey Building at Durham College, 2000 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa, ON, as further described in the Associated Bid Documents and Deliverables. The project includes, demolishing of the existing handrails, floor finishes at landings, and install new floor finishes, wall painting, Patch repair and make good for existing stingers, new glass handrails in the staircase of Gordon Willey building. Proponent will be required to complete the work described in the Deliverables during regular business hours, evenings, and weekends in order to expedite the project, reduce noise pollution, and to ensure that campus activities are not disrupted. The use of a specific Manufacturer's products or brand name is to convey the requirements, type, character and quality of the product desired and is not meant to restrict competition. All products submitted for review shall be of equivalent or higher quality than the products listed in this RFP and be similar in appearance and finish. The Institution reserves the right to determine whether an alternate product is equivalent and meets the requirements of this project.
