Sealed Bids will be received by the Board of Trustees, Morton College, for the Tutoring Center Renovations, for Morton College. Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened at that time. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Owner. While the meeting is not mandatory, bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. If unable to attend, a mandatory site visit is required and shall be documented by sign-in with the Director of Facilities, Mr. Joseph Florio. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Owner. Decisions of the Owner will be final. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. Minority and Women Owned Businesses are highly encouraged to participate. All contractor questions regarding any matter concerning this Invitation to Bid must be submitted in writing to Mr. Brian Essig, Demonica Kemper Architects, by November 28, 2022.
