Improvements may include selective demolition, new competition track and synthetic turf athletic field with bleachers, security and athletic field lighting, field house with restrooms, concessions and storage area, retaining walls, planting of trees and other landscape materials, irrigation, fencing, park furniture, and storm water management. As an alternative to the field house, improvements to the existing gym may be considered. Funding is to be provided by the City of Decatur.
