The City of Henderson, Nevada, is soliciting Proposals from qualified firms to assist the City's Community Development and Services, and Parks and Recreation Departments in updating the 2005 Open Space and Trails Plan ("OSTP"). The purpose of the OSTP update is to successfully prepare and plan for the City's open space, trails, and desert edge needs for the next ten (10) years. The Work shall include a review of the existing Open Space and Trails Plan, background information, related plans, and public involvement for open space, trails, desert edge needs, and evaluate existing implementation strategies, goals, and policies. The successful Proposer will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to determine if the previous and existing conditions meet the current City's open space, trails, and desert edge system, and where the City needs to be, to provide opportunities for the community during the next ten (10) years. Proposers should specialize in planning and resource management and have a proven track record in preparing master plans and/or community-wide strategic plans having fulfilled similar requirements and projects.
