Site work and paving for a civil project in Olympia, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
For the 46th Ave., Ocean Beach Hwy (SR4) to Olympia Way Improvements project. The project provides for the improvements of 46th Avenue from Ocean Beach Hwy (SR4) to Olympia Way. The project includes surveying, clearing and grubbing; removal of structures and obstructions, roadway excavation; stormwater treatment facility and conveyance; removal of bridge and installation of culvert across CDID #1 ditch; paving with HMA; erosion control; curb/gutter; traffic control; pavement marking; traffic signs; and any other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions and the Standard Specifications. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to learn of Addendum, if any. Such information may be obtained from the portal. Click on Posted Projects, Public Works, City of Longview and Project Bidding links; however, the sole responsibility for obtaining and learning of Addendum belongs to the Bidder. The City of Longview accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addendums and submit inadequate or incorrect responses. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 apply and demonstrating DBE compliance and utilization of at least 15% is a Condition of Award. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the Washington State or Federal Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates. Cash, cashier's check, certified check and/or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid price shall accompany all bids. The City of Longview, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Longview is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. Small, Minority and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable provisions of the "WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction" 2023 Edition. The City Council reserves the right to: reject any and/or all bids; accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the City; waive any informalities in the bidding; delay the award of the bid until a regular Council meeting. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business.
