The project includes the following: Removal of curb, sidewalks, driveways, cross gutters, spandrels, asphalt concrete pavement, signage, mailboxes, water meters and construction of PCC Bus stop landings, sidewalks, driveways, ADA accessible curb ramps, asphalt concrete pavement, mailboxes, benches, trash bins, and signage. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Grand Total amount named in the Bidding Schedule. Said check or bond shall be made payable to the City and shall be given as a guaranty that the bidder, if awarded the work, will enter into a contract within ten (10) working days after receipt of the contract from the City, and will furnish the necessary insurance certificates, faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond; each of said bonds to be in the amount stated in the Notice Inviting Bids. In case of refusal or failure to enter into said contract, the check or bid bond, as the case may be, shall be forfeited to the City. If the bidder elects to furnish a bid bond as his proposal guaranty, he shall use the bid bond bound herein, or one conforming substantially to it in form Liquidated Damages: $500.00 Per Work Day Project Duration: 45 Work Days Award of a contract, if it be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with all the requirements prescribed. Evaluation of the bidder's experience and additional information requested on the form "INFORMATION REQUIRED OF BIDDER," bound herein, also will be a determining factor in arriving at an award. Any such award will be made within 45 calendar days after opening of the proposals. The City will award one bid schedule and all of its sub-schedules to one qualified bidder. Individual schedules will not be awarded to different Contractors.
