SCOPE OF WORK Septic Vault/Tank Pumping and Cleaning for South Bound Rest Area North of Pueblo Colorado Owner: Colorado Department of Transportation PROJECT LOCATION: South Bound Rest Area North of Pueblo Colorado PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project involves septic vault/ tank pumping and cleaning, repair and maintenance as requested and required by The Colorado Department of Transportation. The septic vault measures 49x 20. WORK DURATION: The work described in this scope will begin January 1, 2023 and is to be completed no later than March 31, 2023. AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED: Work shall not commence until written Notice to Proceed is issued by The Colorado Department of Transportation Maintenance Superintendent, and shall be completed by the specified completion date. WORK TASKS: The company awarded the bid will obtain keys and all access to the premises. The awarded company will be given a list of local numbers for all CDOT personnel affiliated with the project. The awarded company will also provide The Colorado Department of Transportation a list of local numbers for all awarded company personnel affiliated with the project. The bid will consist of removal of all material including, but not limited to, paper, bottles, syringes, wood chips, diapers, trash, feminine hygiene products, human waste and infiltrators. The awarded company will power wash and scrub all walls and ceiling until thoroughly cleaned. The awarded company will remove the above said debris in the vault by hand and place into trash bags and dumpster, provided and emptied by the awarded company. The human waste and wood chips will be removed by a septic truck provided by the awarded company, and taken to the city waste department for disposal by awarded company. The awarded company will then wash out the vault for a second time and thoroughly pump out any remaining material. The awarded company will finally deodorize and sanitize the vault. The Colorado Department of Transportation personnel will be notified once the work is completed and at that time, The Colorado Department of Transportation personnel will conduct a final inspection of the 49 x 20 septic vault. EQUIPMENT AND FEES: All equipment, man hours, hazmat fees, material fees, dump fees, dumpster fees, and any other fees required, will need to be listed and included in this scope of work. The Colorado Department of Transportations will allow equipment to be staged and stored at site, but the company with the awarded bid assumes all liability for damages, theft or loss to their equipment.
