The City of North Augusta will be accepting Sealed Bids for Bulk Dyed Mulch. Property Maintenance Bulk Dyed Pine / Cypress Mulch Bid Specifications Double Ground Pine/ Cypress Mulch sized thru a 2" - 2 1/2" baffled screen to be used as the raw material. Mulch is to be dyed using a dark Brown colorant. The mulch is to be ground and have the colorant injected into the grinding chamber so the mulch is colored all the way through. No Pallets, No Onsite Clearing Debris or construction debris is to be accepted as raw wood material in the dyed mulch manufacturing process. Provide proof of Pine / Cypress raw material, (photos) being used in the manufacturing process for the specified mulch in this bid. A sample bag of mulch must accompany the bid. Vendor must be able to supply a tractor trailer load of said mulch within a two-day notice The City of North Augusta will establish an initial contract of one year (12 months from date of contract) upon acceptance of proposals, with the option to renew said contract for one additional year. The contract will renew automatically on each anniversary date as long as both parties desire to maintain said contract with no increase in price. The City of North Augusta has the full right not to renew the contract in subsequent years after the initial one-year contract. The Owner may reject Bids which in its sole judgment are incomplete, conditional, obscure, not responsive, which contain additions not called for, erasures not properly initiated, alterations, or other similar irregularities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and waive any minor or non-material informality, should the Owner deem it to be in the public interest to do so. The City of North Augusta reserves the right to waive any bid formalities and/or reject any or all bid.
