Deliveries to Water Utility Field Operations, Water Distribution Bureau shall be made between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday through Friday excluding holidays to the City of Dayton, Water Utility Field Operations, Water Distribution Bureau Storage Yard at 945 Ottawa Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402. Vendors shall give at least 24-hour advance notice of a delivery in order that unloading equipment will be available. All deliveries shall be in open top carriers to facilitate unloading by crane type equipment or forklift. Ductile Iron Fittings shall be skidded and shrink-wrapped or in a crate not to exceed 36 inches in height. Curb Boxes shall have upper and lower sections screwed together and shall be skidded and banked in not more than five layers. Fittings received improperly packaged will be refused. The City of Dayton ("City") shall reserve the right to inspect all items ordered from this bid during their manufacture, construction and/or preparation at reasonable times and shall have the right to inspect such items at the time of their delivery and/or completion. Items furnished hereunder may at anytime be rejected for defects or defaults revealed by inspec tions, analysis, or installation anytime after delivery even though such items may have been previously inspected and accepted. Such rejected items may be returned to the vendor for full refund to the City of Dayton shall include shipping and transportation charges. The City will make every effort to inspect and ensure the correctness of shipped items within 90 days, but does not waive the right to return items that are found to be defective at the time of installation. To establish a firm Price Agreement for Fire Hydrants, Parts and Related Items with firm pricing through December 31, 2023 with a possible option to renew, at the City of Dayton's discretion, firm pricing for two (2) additional 12-month periods from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025.
