Zinc Orthophosphate - The quantity of material covered by these specifications shall be the requirements for the Reading Area Water Authority for the calendar year 2023. Product shall be delivered to the Reading Area Water Authority's Zinc Orthophosphate Satellite Stations. There are two (2) stations located in close proximity to the Maidencreek Water Filtration Plant. Deliveries will first report to the Maidencreek Water Filtration Plant. An employee of Reading Area Water Authority will escort delivery to zinc orthophosphate satellite stations. Deliveries shall be made in a vehicle which will provide "squirt fill" of satellite station storage tanks as required by the Owner.Product must be delivered in tanks that are suitable for hauling food grade materials (tanks in which only food grade products have been carried). If in the opinion of Rawa, the successful bidder fails to perform any of the required service obligations identified in these Contract Documents/Specifications, Reading Area Water Authority shall have the right to cancel the contract immediately and begin purchasing chemical from the next lowest responsible bidder. The original vendor will be responsible to pay for the difference in price.Any vendor whose contract is terminated will be excluded from future bids for this chemical. Bid Bond, certification of non-indebtedness, non-collusion affidavit, and non-discrimination statement are included in the Specifications document. All bidders shall provide with their bid, a guaranteed performance statement. Successful bidder shall be required to supply with the contract a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract guaranteeing effective performance of its material. Rawa reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects in any bids which Council, in its sole discretion does not consider to be material defects. The Reading Area Water Authority shall have the right to continue to purchase zinc orthophosphate from the successful vendor for an additional three months following termination of the contract on the same terms as set forth in the contract. Rawa shall have the option, at their sole discretion, of a one (1) year (calendar year 2024) extension at the bid price on the same terms as set forth in the contract.
