Interior and exterior improvements at CD Howe Public School located at 30 Wishart Crescent, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Interior improvements include new gym LED lighting. Exterior improvements include parking lot improvements, asphalt removal, earth excavation, new pavement structure, new subdrain, paving and pavement markings. Also includes work to remove and replace the existing concrete pad and bike rack. Work must be completed while the schools are in the summer recession, and completed by substantial completion date, with no exceptions; as occupancy is for regular operations of the facility is to proceed. The contractor is DLEonsible for procurement, delivery, and installation of all required equipment, along with providing the necessary manpower to facilitate the completion of the project. Bidders shall scan and up-load a copy of the Paper Bid Deposit. The Bid Deposit may be submitted in the form of a Bid Bond or certified cheque payable and acceptable to Lakehead District School Board. Bid Bonds are to be provided using the most current version of CCDC 220, or the same format and content as in CCDC 220 or other form used by a Surety company, authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario, payable, and acceptable to LDSB. The Bidder is to request an Ink seal from their Surety or trace over the embossed seal prior to scanning to allow for the seal to be visible. Bid bonds must be irrevocable and open for bid acceptance for at least ninety (90) days from the date of bid opening. The Bid Deposit is provided as assurance that should the bid be accepted by LDSB a Contract will be entered into for the proper performance of the work within ten (10) calendar days following written notification from the LDSB to the selected Bidder. Each submission must be accompanied by an Agreement to Bond in the form of a signed and sealed letter from an acceptable Surety company. This Agreement to Bond will provide for the provision of a Performance Bond and a Labour and Materials Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract amount. Cost of bonding is to be included in the bid amount.
