Environment, Climate and Parks' Climate and Green Plan Implementation Office and Environmental Stewardship Division have partnered on a joint project to contract a service provider for coordination and facilitation of the multi-stakeholder committee and to conduct baseline work on the current status of CRD waste diversion and related circular economy opportunities in Manitoba. The multistakeholder committee will include both internal and external stakeholders, and has a mandate to develop options and recommendations to improve CRD waste diversion in Manitoba. CRD waste includes both horizontal (road materials such as asphalt, aggregate etc.) and vertical (building materials drywall, shingles, etc.) materials.The successful service provider will be tasked with baseline work that will support Manitoba's understanding of opportunities and barriers to increasing CRD waste diversion. Manitoba is seeking an agreement for services for a term tentatively commencing December 15, 2022 and ending on March 31, 2022.
