Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Saint Anne, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; educational facility; and educational facility.

Project consists of the new installation of turf field with associated underground drainage system, new grandstand with press box, new support building housing restrooms, team rooms, storage and concessions, site lighting, site paving, outdoor track resurfacing and related MEP scope as indicated in the Bid Documents. H. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Single Prime Contract. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Security shall be either certified check, cashier's check or bid Bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 2. Bidders' Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders' questions received up to two business days prior to conference. B. Prebid Tour: Following the Prebid meeting there may be a tour of the project site or work area. Additional tours may be scheduled by contacting the Owner. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. B. The failure of the successful bidder to enter into contract and supply the required bond and Certificates of Insurance within ten (10) days after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default. C. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to award a partial amount of the Work rather than the entire amount. D. All bids submitted shall be valid for a period of at least sixty days from date of bid opening; the only alterations which will be allowed will be those approved by the Owner. E. All contractors submitting bids must be in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act as enacted by the State of Illinois. F. As part of their bid, all contractors are required to sign, notarize and return the contractor certificates included with this bid packet.
