Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint George, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of January 12,2023, project was awarded tO Ben Cox, LLC but awarded amount is not available.** The work includes construction of a shared use path along the maintenance shelf of Chandler Bridge Creek from Ladson Road to Nightingale Street and a 5 foot wide sidewalk along Nightingale to Old Fort Road. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check of the Bidder, or by a Bid Bond made payable to Dorchester County, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be furnished with a surety company acceptable to Dorchester County. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. The County reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be emailed to jtigert@dorchestercountysc.gov by 5:00 PM Eastern Time at least ten (10) calendar days before the date set herein for the opening of bids.
