Bids Are for the Furnishing of All Labor, Materials, and Equipment Necessary for the Construction of That Certain Project Designated as "Hinds Parkway Gateway Signage & Landscaping". Bids Are for the Installation of a Gateway Signage Structure and Water Feature, Landscape, Irrigation, Earth Work, and All Required Electrical and Mechanical Components at the Corner of the Hinds County Parkway and South Siwell Road in Byram, Ms. Hinds County Has Established a Dbe Goal for Participation in Work of 20%. The Goal is Expressed as a Percentage of the Original Contract Amount and Will Apply Throughout the Project. Each Bidder Shall Make Good Faith Efforts to Ensure That the Dbe Participation Equals or Exceeds Hinds County's Goal for Such Participation and Shall Take All Necessary and Reasonable Steps to Ensure That Dbe's Have the Maximum Meaningful Opportunity to Compete for and Perform Portions of the Work. If Award is Made With Dbe Participation Less Than the Contract Goal, the Contractor Shall Continue to Make Good Faith Efforts Throughout the Project to Increase the Dbe Participation to Meet the Contract Goal. The Total Contract Time Will Be 90 Consecutive Calendar Days. Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the Amount Equal to 5% of the Bid Shall Be Furnished by Each Bidder as Required by the Contract Documents. Proposals Must Be Qualified Under Mississippi Laws and Shall Hold Current Certificates of Responsibility as Issued by Law. The Hinds County Board of Supervisors Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any Information and Irregularities Therein, Solicit New Bids, Award the Bid to the Lowest and Best Bidder.
