Renovation of a residential development in Kent, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The proposed work under this contract consists of the replacement of the hard surfacing flooring and HVAC updates at the Family & Community Services Supportive Housing and Transitional Housing located at: Permanent Supportive 1019-1037 Graham Road, Kent City 1548-1550 Benjamin Court, Kent City Transisition Housing 161-163 Currie Hall, Kent City 1540-1542 Benjamin Ct., Kent City 1536-1538 Benjamin Ct., Kent City Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in either of the following two forms: Option A - a bid bond in the full amount of the bid or Option B - a certified check or cashier's check in the sum of 10 percent of the amount of the bid. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The Bid Guarantee is conditioned to provide that if the Bid is accepted and awarded the Bidder will enter into a contract with the County and will file a Performance Bond as required. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the sum of 100 percent of the contract price for the faithful performance of the Contract. If the Bidder selects "Bid Guarantee" Option A , the Bidder may use this Bond as the Performance Bond. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of his experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The Portage County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids or portions thereof. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty days (30) after the actual date of the opening thereof. Contractor shall be aware that this project is funded with a grant using federal funds and all HUD requirements must be met. Bids will be evaluated at a minimum on experience on similar projects and cost. Successful bidder must comply with Equal Employment requirements as specified in Executive Order 11246 and 11375.
