Plano Independent School District is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified vendors for the provision of services as Architects and Engineers. Plano ISD will proceed to establish a roster of firms in the various required disciplines from which to select and assign specific projects. The roster will be formed through a short-list and interview process. Firms may be assigned none, one, or more projects at the discretion of Plano ISD. Although a firm may be listed on the roster, Plano ISD does not assert, assure, or guarantee that the firm will be awarded work, and if so, how much, what type, or dollar value. Compensation will be negotiated upon matching of the project to the firm and award of the assignment. On August 16, 2022, The Plano ISD Board of Trustees voted to call a bond election to be held on November 8, 2022. The four bond propositions total $1,495,638,000 and address safety and security, major and minor renovations, infrastructure, transportation, CTE and innovative programs, fine arts and athletics. The categories of services include, but not limited: Architectural Services Landscape Architecture Structural Engineer Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Plumbing Engineer (MEP) Civil Engineer Site Surveying and Geotechnical Engineer Kitchen and Food Service Design Acoustical Design Selection will be based upon demonstrated competence and qualifications to perform the services. Fees are Not being requested in this initial phase of selection. After evaluation of Statements of Qualifications, the Review Committee will select a short list of firms upon which to give further consideration. All firms selected for second phase consideration, if determined by the District to be necessary, will be notified on the specifics of any second-stage submission requirements and due dates. If it is deemed appropriate by the District, certain disciplines may also include an interview/presentation for the short-list firms. If however, the District is satisfied with the initial information provided there may be no further requests made prior to the final selections. The Plano Independent School District is a public school district and political subdivision of the State of Texas, located primarily in southwest Collin County. Plano ISD currently enrolls approximately 50,000 students. Plano ISD serves the residents of approximately 100 square miles. This area includes 66 square miles in the City of Plano and parts of Richardson, Dallas, Allen, Carrollton, Garland, Lucas, Murphy, Parker, and Wylie.
