Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Genetic Medicine Building First Floor Lab Renovation DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of Level 2 alterations of existing lab space (B occupancy) on the first floor of the existing Genetic Medicine Building. Work consists of selective demolition, reconfiguring of lab casework for the installation of (14) new fume hoods, repair and replacement of existing finishes, and modifications to and extension of building systems as required for the new work. The areas of work are identified on the drawings. A new chemical control area is being added in the area of work and will be separated with a 1-hr rated fire barrier. Work also includes new plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire alarm work, and modification of existing sprinkler head locations as required. 22-25742-01A, 23152, 12016-00
