Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bardstown, Kentucky. Design plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of November 2, 2023, per owner, a design team has been selected. A construction timeline has not been identified yet. The City of Bardstown, Kentucky is requesting proposals from KYTC prequalified engineering firms to provide engineering services for the design of a sidewalk along Templin Avenue (State Highway). The scope of the project will include surveying, preliminary and final design of the sidewalk, and any necessary drainage design, utility design, structural design, and traffic control plans. The project will connect to the existing sidewalk on the west side of Chambers Boulevard and run along the south side of Templin Ave connecting to the sidewalk along the front of the new Bardstown Elementary School. The project is receiving federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds. The designer shall prepare a set of construction plans and specifications and obtain all applicable permits, according to Federal Highway Administration guidelines. All firms submitting an RFP must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet by the time of the proposal opening. Selection will be qualifications-based. Price is not to be included in the response to the RFP and will not be considered during the selection process.
