Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. 1 LS Mobilization/Demobilization, 1 LS Preconstruction Video of Project Area, 1 LS Erosion and Sedimentation Controls, 1 LS 156,000-Gallon J2Y35 Water Storage Tank, 1 LS Site Electrical and Telemetry, 1 LS Reconnect Existing Water Meter to New Service Line, 1 LS Decommission Existing 85,000-Gallon J2Y35 Water Storage Tank, and all necessary appurtenances. The last day for questions is by C.O.B. on November 18, 2022. All questions must be submitted via email to Erik Allbright at eallbriglWuthethrashemoup.com or Tyler Pelfrey at tpelfrey@thethrashergroup.com This Contract consists of a 156,000 gallon above-ground storage tank including site work, piping, water storage tank, electrical, fencing, and restoration for a complete project. The Work will be substantially completed within 180 calendar days for Contract #1 and 270 calendar days for Contract #2 after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 210 days for Contract #1 and 300 days for Contract #2 after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 per day. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. Each Bidder must fully comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions as set forth in the contract documents to achieve Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation during the performance of this contract. The bidder commits itself to the program for DBE participation and all other requirements, terms, and conditions of the bid conditions by submitting a properly signed bid. The bidder agrees to make good faith efforts to sub-contract a portion of the total value of the contract to disadvantaged businesses. This shall be done in compliance with the six (6) affirmative steps as outlined in 40 CFR 31.36(e). Failure to demonstrate positive efforts to do so may lead to rejection of bids. For the purpose of this program, the term subcontractor includes all construction, modification, and service work contracted for by the bidder in the execution of the work under this contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Presidents Executive Order No. 11246. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bidsshall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Mason County Public Service District in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21- 1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractors License per Section 30-42-12 of the West Virginia Code. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The Mason County Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
