Demolition, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Nashville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a 807-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
All work for the complete construction of the project shall be bid a single prime contract with the Owner based on bids received and awarded. The work consists of general construction, roofing, civil construction, heating, ventilating, air conditioning construction, plumbing construction and electrical construction. Location- 20 E Main St Nashville, IN 47448 The 807 sf building addition for this project will include: 1. Construction will include adding a sallyport and holding cell. (Base Bid) 2. Construction will include adding a secure building entrance 368 sf. (Alternate Bid) The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for bid opening. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be a certified check or bid bond. All certified checks and bid bonds shall be made payable to Brown County Board of Commissioners. Brown County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to assign any portion of the bid or bids to a holding company. Bidders shall submit their Employer Identification Number (E.I.N.) to the Owner on the bid form. In the absence of an E.I.N., Bidder must submit their Social Security Number. An out-of-state contractor and/or subcontractor will be obligated to show proof that they are registered with the Indiana Secretary of State to conduct business in the State of Indiana. The successful bidders will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of their contract amount prior to execution of contracts. Bonds shall be maintained in accordance with IC 36- 1-12-13.1 and 36-1-12-14. Bonds shall be in full force and effect for a period of at least twelve (12) months after the date of final completion of the Contract. Should the contractor's bonding company give notice of cancellation; the contractor will be responsible for securing new bonds prior to termination. Bid proposals, including non-collusion affidavit, shall be properly and completely executed on Indiana State Board of Accounts Form No. 96 (Rev. 2013) which is provided in Section 004113, Bid Form, of the Bidding and Contract Documents, and shall be in s sealed envelope marked, "Brown County Courthouse Addition" together with all other documents required. Each bidder may then visit the site on their own. The location of the Pre-bid Conference is very near to the actual construction site. Architect/Engineer will be present to discuss construction sequence, bidding requirements and information, contractor work and storage areas, and requirements for contractor's personnel. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. If non-English speaking representatives or persons with disabilities need to have arrangements made please contact the BROWN COUNTY AUDITOR'S OFFICE at (812) 988-5485 within 3 business days prior to the Pre-Bid Conference or Bid Opening to have the necessary arrangements made.
