1. Kansas State University, a Kansas state agency and public state university ("University"), for and on behalf of 45130 Mechanical & Nuclear Eng ("Department"), is accepting Quotations for: One (1) High temperature tube/Chemical Vapor Deposition furnace with the following minimum specifications: 1. Continuous Operating Temperature: at least 1100 deg C 2. Tube I.D.: 1.0" minimum 3. Heating Zone Length: 18" minimum 4. Controller: at least 10 Segment Program Controller 5. Multi channel gas inlets: at least 2 gas inlets 6. Mass flow meter and controller: Argon gas only and with flow rate of at least 10 to 500 sccm 7. Pressure/vacuum requirements in the tube: at least 100 pascal 8. Heating rate: Must be able to sustain high heating rates of up to 20 deg C per min. 9. Cooling: Natural/convection cooling. 10. Must be capable of growing a variety of ceramic materials such as MoS2. Primary Use: Processing of polymer-derived ceramics such as silicon carbo-nitride and two-dimensional materials. Ship by: Dec 23, 2022 Installation and training: As part of the bid, vendor will offer installation and training support no later than Jan 31, 2023. Vendor shall quote price and delivery for the items detailed in the attached Exhibit A.
