Renovation of a mixed-use development in Arlington, Washington. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As of March 1, 2023, the owner has selected a design builder. A. This RFQ is for work at three independent school sites and the Bidders are required to submit independent bids for each of the three sites. The Owner may accept any or all of the three bids at its sole discretion. B. The Owner intends to award the contract to the successful bidder as soon as possible after the receipt of bids and acceptance by the Owners Board of Directors which will occur no earlier than January 23, 2023. C. The successful bidder will be allowed to begin planning, field investigation and procurement as soon as a contract is executed. Any work on site will start no earlier than June 19, 2023 and must be fully complete no later than August 18, 2023. If the Owner accepts the bid for more than one site the same time restrictions will apply to all sites and the it is assumed the work will occur concurrently at all sites. The successful bidder shall be required to provide sufficient manpower and resources to ensure successful execution of all sites in the same timeframe. The Arlington School District #16 is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide a complete Energy Management and Controls (Direct Digital Controls or DDC) system replacement at the following schools: Eagle Creek Elementary, Kent Prairie Elementary, and Weston High School. The school district is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to include all aspects and disciplines of the RFP within a single bid and contract. The interested bidders must be able to design, provide, install, program, and service all of the electronic systems in this RFP without the requirement of subcontractors (single source). Bidders are allowed to utilize subcontractors for the line voltage requirements (120VAC) and low voltage requirements (24VAC). Bidders must clearly state each subcontractor within their proposal along with the scope of work they will provide. The school district is procuring this project under RCW 39.04.270. Firms selected for an interview and subsequent award will be based upon the following criteria categories and other criteria as identified in the RFP: 1) Capability to provide system, 2) Experience as a manufacturers representative for the primary system components, 3) Experience providing similar systems for school districts, 4) Compatibility of proposed system with the Districts existing infrastructure, 5) Service proposal 6) References, 7) Warranty period, and 8) Cost.
