Site work, remodeling and renovation of a water / sewer project in McLean, Virginia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a water / sewer project.
The existing 30,000-gallon steel water tank shall be refurbished and become a dedicated fire flow tank. A new 6,000-gallon tank shall be installed for drinking water storage and a new water distribution line shall be installed to connect the visitor's center. i. Plumbing a. Directionally drill and install approximately 390 linear feet of 6" PVC/HDPE water line from the new water tank to the existing water line at Old Dominion. b. Open trench and install approximately 310 linear feet of 6" PVC to serve a new fire hydrant. c. Install one (1) new 6,000-gallon water tank. d. Install all new required plumbing appurtenances including sensors, back flow preventers, check valves, pressure gauges, circulation pump, pressure regulator, float switch and strainer. ii. Structural a. Furnish and install one (1) new 10-foot diameter reinforced concrete slab to support 6,000-gallon water tank. b. Furnish and install concrete slabs for the back-up generator and fuel tank. c. Clean, patch, and repair existing water tank. d. Furnish and install thrust block at new fire hydrant location. iii. Electrical a. Furnish and install backup generator, associated fuel tank, and automatic transfer switch. b. Directionally drill and install approximately 750 linear feet of 1" conduit for a new data line from the Visitor Center to the well pump house. c. Install a new remote telemetry system capable of notifications, status, and alarms for High/Low Water level, chlorine levels, PH levels, and pump functionality. d. Furnish and install a new float switch and circulating pump in 6,000-gallon water tank. iv. Fire Suppression a. Furnish and install one (1) new fire hydrant adjacent to the Visitor's Center. b. Demolish and remove the existing fire hydrant. v. Site Work a. Excavate directional drilling launch pits. b. Restore concrete all asphalt pathways disturbed by open trenching and directional drilling. c. Install all necessary erosion and sediment control measures. d. Restore grass/sod to all disturbed areas. The Government's estimate is: Between $250,000 and $500,000 Offerors must submit all questions in writing and submitted no later than November 21, 2022, at 12:00 PM ET.
