Site Directions: 100 Elm St Sacred Heart, MN 56284 This work plan is issued for the hazardous material scope work for the Sacred Heart School Abatement Project. The scope of work encompasses the entire building area. The description of work and project requirements can be found in the project construction documents and bid package. Contractor is responsible for reviewing the project construction document and plans. In general, the scope of demolition work consists of selective abatement of building elements such as Floor Tile, Gym Flooding, Parapet/Seam Sealer, Doorways, Tanks & Duct Insulation and Miscellaneous gaskets, felts, and caulking. A supplemental pre-demolition asbestos and regulated materials survey, in preparation for the planned demolition following this abatement project, was conducted and completed by Bay West on October 18 and December 8, 2021. Any suspect ACMs were inventoried and sampled for asbestos content. AsbestosContaining Materials identified in the supplemental testing were from the following areas: o 7,350 square feet of 9"x9" floor tile, gray mottled/ mastic, black was identified as ACM throughout the 1929 building. o 200 linear feet of the white layer of caulking white, black was identified as ACM located along the building connection on the 1929 roof to the 1909 building. o 2,500 square feet of parapet tar/seam sealer were confirmed as ACM on the 1929 southwest roof section. o 4 doors of 10 square feet of boiler door insulation were identified as ACM in the 1929 basement boiler room. o 220 square feet of significantly damaged tank insulation identified as ACM in the 1929 basement boiler room. o 50 linear feet of 36" duct insulation identified as ACM in the 1929 basement boiler room The scope of work covered by this abatement work plan includes the removal, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials. This work plan does not include non-hazardous material work which will be performed as part of a later and separate contract to complete the demolition process. The Contractor shall complete the abatement work in full accordance with this work plan and meet all applicable requirements of the Renville County West Contractor Documents for this project.
